Taking to Instagram, the 'Attention' singer says that the song is dedicated to 'all of the Parkland students, any lives lost to senseless gun violence, and the world.'

AceShowbiz - Charlie Puth has once again given fans another taste of his upcoming album "Voicenotes". This time, the singer-songwriter teams up with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer James Taylor on a track entitled "Change". The song was released on Monday, March 26.
The three-and-a-half minute track finds Charlie and James showcasing their gentle vocals over a loose, stripped-back guitar arrangement. "Look around there are too many of us crying/ And not enough love to go around/ What a waste, another day," they sing. "Another good one dying/ But I know that the world will change/ The day we know we're all the same."
Taking to Instagram, Charlie said that the song was dedicated to victims of gun violence. "This song is dedicated to all of the Parkland students, any lives lost to senseless gun violence, and the world. #neveragain," he wrote alongside cover art for the track that features a dark blue backdrop. The singer first performed the song at March for Our Lives rally in Los Angeles on March 24.
During an Instagram Live, he said of the song, "It's about everybody, as humans we all help each other and that song came about through collaboration. This is the most important song I ever wrote." He also expressed his happiness about collaborating with James, who "is the reason why I write music." He adds, "I can't believe I have a song with him right now."
"Voicenotes" is due out May 11. The sophomore album was initially set to be released on January 19, but Charlie announced that he had to push back the release date as he produced the album all by himself. In support of the album, the "Attention" singer will embark on a North America tour along with Hailee Steinfeld. The tour will kick off on July 11 in Toronto and wrap up on September 1 in Florida.
