After it's reported that the 'Purple Lamborghini' rapper is hooked up to a machine that's taking over the function of his heart and lungs, his pal Fat Trel assures everyone that Ross is doing fine.

AceShowbiz - Rick Ross is hospitalized after becoming ill at home in Florida. The rapper was rushed to hospital after someone from the home called 911 on Thursday, March 1 at 3:30 A.M. and said that the 42-year-old star was unresponsive and breathing heavily. The caller also said that he had a history of seizures and they were trying to wake him up but he was "slobbing out the mouth," according to TMZ.

"The Boss" hitmaker is reportedly receiving a respiratory treatment possibly for pneumonia. A source says the medical issue is heart-related. His family member, however, denied that he was hospitalized.

In an updated report, TMZ says that Ross is hooked up to a machine that's taking over the function of his heart and lungs. He is said getting treatment in the cardiac unit, which means he might have suffered a heart attack.

Doctors reportedly put him on a form of life support called extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), which is used to oxygenate his blood outside of his body, before it's pumped back into his body. The use of this life support indicates how dire his situation is.

However, Ross' pal and fellow hip-hop artist Fat Trel says that Ross is doing just fine and is not on life support. "JUS TALKED 2 MY BIG HOMIE... HE GOOD... HE IN DA HOSPITAL BUT HE IS NOT ON 'LIFE SUPPORT' ... HE GOOD," he wrote on Instagram.

Other fellow musicians have sent prayers to Ross. Lil Wayne tweeted, "[Praying hand emojis] for Ross. My brother."

"I BELIEVE in the Power of Prayer. Sending Prayers up for Rick Ross," Missy Elliott wrote on her own Twitter page.

G-Eazy added, "Prayers for rick ross." Juicy J, Usher and Trey Songz also posted similar messages.

Ross has a history of medical issues. He suffered two seizures in one day back in 2011. After doctors weren't able to determine a cause for his seizures in their tests, he was advised to lose weight and change his lifestyle.

He has since given up sodas, but resisted giving up such favorites as chicken wings and fried Oreos. He dropped 75 lbs. "I'm happy," Ross told Men's Health magazine in 2016. "I'm still losing weight, and now I'm starting to build hard muscle in places."
