Atlanta Theater Mixes Up 'Fifty Shades Freed' for 'Black Panther'
Movie

Fans get a little rowdy when the BDSM movie plays instead of the Marvel superhero film for 10 minutes before the theater changes it into the right movie.

What a mix-up! The Atlantic Station Regal theater in Atlanta, Georgia played the wrong movie for Marvel fans on Thursday night, February 15, much to their dismay. Instead of the highly-anticipated "Black Panther", the theater played "Fifty Shades Freed".

It's unclear how the last installment of the BDSM film franchise got lined up in the projector, when it's a very different movie from the Marvel superhero flick. And it appeared that the projector operator didn't realize the mistake even with the audience getting rowdy, laughing and shouting, "No!" over and over again.

One moviegoer captured the mix-up and shared audience's reactions in some videos posted on Twitter. He captioned one of the clips, "Aiight so this happened at Atlantic Station. They played 50 shades instead of black panther."

It reportedly took 10 minutes before the theater changed the movie into the right one, after a few people from the audience members told the theater manager.

The Atlantic Station Regal theater has not commented on the mix-up.

Despite the little invasion from "Fifty Shades Freed", "Black Panther" is projected to rule North American box office on the weekend chart, with many analysts predicting that it could amass $180M over three days. "Fifty Shades Freed", meanwhile, led the ticket sales on Valentine's Day with $10.8 million, before "Black Panther" debuted on Thursday night to $25.2 million.
