In video footage from the recent shoot in Aruba, the wife of Justin Verlander could be seen unexpectedly falling into the ocean after getting knocked over by a huge wave.

AceShowbiz - Kate Upton had a scary fall during a recent Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photoshoot in Aruba, the Bahamas. Video footage from the photo session was released by the mag on its official Instagram account on Tuesday, February 13, showing the 25-year-old model falling into the ocean after being knocked over by a huge wave.

Luckily, Upton, who went topless during the shoot, did not fall directly onto the rock too hard and seemed to walk away from the incident with minimal injuries. The busty model gave her account of what happened as she explained in the clip, "The next wave coming, it didn't look that large from my point of view but it must have hit the rock just right and caught on."

The wife of MLB star Justin Verlander wore nothing but nude bikini bottoms attached to a long gold tiered tulle skirt while posing on the rock. "The Layover" actress explained that "this skirt whenever it's wet with all the tools it is very heavy and it dragged me down." She shared, "Everybody was very scared especially MJ."

The scary incident happened during Upton's saucy shoot back in October 2017. Judging by paparazzi photos from the time of the nasty tumble, Upton seemingly did not let it affect her as she was all smiles just minutes after the fall.

In 2011, Upton was named the Rookie of the Year when she made her debut appearance on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, which is published annually by Sports Illustrated magazine. The blonde beauty has appeared on the cover of the annual edition three times.

In addition to modeling, Upton has branched out into big screen, having starred in 2014's "The Other Woman" along with Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. She also made a cameo appearance in last year's biographical comedy "The Disaster Artist", which chronicles the making of Tommy Wiseau's 2003 "The Room", one of the worst movies ever made.
