Even though the 84-year-old music icon takes aim at Swift's music, it doesn't stop him from helping her produce a record as he says that he will 'figure something out.'

AceShowbiz - Quincy Jones has worked with many popular musicians throughout his career. However, if you hope for a collaboration between him and Taylor Swift, don't expect too much. In an interview with GQ magazine, Jones took aim at the "End Game" songstress, specifically her music.

During the interview, the 84-year-old music icon talked about a wide range of topics, from admitting to having 22 girlfriends to buying drugs from Malcolm X. At one point, the conversation shifted to new music and Jones was asked who are his favorite artists. While he expressed admiration for artists like Bruno Mars, Drake and Common, Jones "made a face, somewhere between disapproval and disdain" when asked if he likes Swift.

This prompted interviewer Chris Heath to ask why Jones doesn't like Swift's music. The 28-time Grammy winner simply replied, "We need more songs, man. F***ing songs, not hooks." When Heath reminded him that Swift is considered "the great songwriter of our age," Jones only laughed and quipped, "Whatever crumbles your cookie."

Jones went on sharing his thoughts, saying that Swift didn't know what she's doing. "You know what I mean?" he continued. "Since I was a little kid, I've always heard the people that don't wanna do the work. It takes work, man. The only place you find success before work is the dictionary, and that's alphabetical."

Fortunately, that didn't stop Jones from helping Swift produce a record, saying that he would "figure something out." He added, "Man, the song is the s**t -- that's what people don't realize. A great song can make the worst singer in the world a star. A bad song can't be saved by the three best singers in the world. I learned that 50 years ago."

Jones concluded the topic by saying that people who think that Swift has great songs are wrong. "They don't know," he said. "I've come and gone through seven decades of this s**t. Seen all that. Seen how that works. Ignorance is no thing."

Swift has yet to respond to the criticism.
