AceShowbiz - The first full trailer of Netflix's upcoming futuristic sci-fi series "Altered Carbon" has been unearthed. The NSFW trailer gives a better look at the noir series, which is based on Richard K. Morgan's classic cyberpunk novel of the same name.
The trailer opens with a scene of a human body floating with a rope around its neck. "Your body's not who you are," says a female character in voiceover. Alongside a gruesome scene of a human, covered with gooey liquid, getting pulled out from a plastic bag in what appears like a laboratory, the character goes on saying, "You shed it like a snake sheds it's skin. You transfer the human consciousness between bodies to live eternal live."
Coming out from the plastic bag is Joel Kinnaman's dead soldier character named Takeshi Kovacs, who is brought back to life into a new body after 250 years. It turns out that Kovacs is brought back from "the ice" to carry a mission. "You are the property of the Bancroft industries. You've been provided with this body which came equipped with military-grade uric M in combat muscle memory," says a character to Kovacs.
The trailer also offers a look at Laurens Bancroft (James Purefoy), the richest man on Earth. Donning a navy bathrobe, Bancroft tells Kovacs, "All I ask of you is that you solve a murder." Kovacs asks, "whose?" to which Bancroft simply responds, "Mine."

Miguel Sapochnik, who directed "Battle of the Bastards" episode of "Game of Thrones", helmed the first episode of "Altered Carbon". Skydance's David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross executive produce alongside Steve Blackman and Kalogridis' Mythology Entertainment partners Brad Fischer and James Vanderbilt.
Also starring Will Yun Lee, Dichen Lachman and Martha Higareda, "Altered Carbon" premieres on February 2 on Netflix.
