The nearly-four-minute track begins with the 'Humble' rapper delivering the hook part before Jay follows it up with fiery bars.

AceShowbiz - After teaming up with SZA on "All the Stars", Kendrick Lamar links up with Jay Rock and Future on "King's Dead", the latest single off "Black Panther" soundtrack. The track is also the lead single off Jay's forthcoming album, which doesn't have a title yet.

Produced by Mike WiLL Made It and Teddy Walton, K.Dot opens the track by delivering the hook part of the song before Jay follows it up with fiery bars. "I've been ready, my whip been ready/ My b***h been ready, my clique's been ready," he raps over the thumping beats. "My s**t's been ready/ My checks been ready."

Towards the end of the song, K. Dot delivers the closing verse over a new beat. In his verse, K. Dot makes a reference to the superhero action flick's villain Erik Killmonger, who is portrayed by Michael B. Jordan. "Not your people, not your neighbor/ Not your baby, not your equal/ Not the title y'all want me under/ All hail King Killmonger," he raps.

"King's Dead" came just days after K. Dot teased a Vince Staples-assisted track in the latest trailer for the movie. The track that was played in the trailer doesn't have a title yet, nor has it been announced. However, around the 55-second mark, viewers could hear Vince spitting his bars.

K. Dot serves as the producer of the "Black Panther" soundtrack. He is joined by Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith. This marks the rapper's first time of getting involved in a major motion picture. "The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture. I'm truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside [Ryan Coogler] and Marvel's vision," K. Dot said of his involvement.

The soundtrack album is scheduled for a February 9 release, while the movie is set to hit theaters on February 16.
