Meghan Markle's Half-Sister Annoyed Over Prince Harry's Remarks About Meghan Not Having a Family
Celebrity

Samantha Grant wrote on her Twitter account that the former actress 'has a large family' who was always there for her, insisting that 'no one was estranged, she was just too busy.'

AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle spent her Christmas with Prince Harry and other Royal family members in England, and her fiance was very happy about it. During his interview in BBC Radio 4, the 33-year-old prince praised the former "Suits" actress, "She's done an absolutely amazing job. She's getting in there and it's the family I suppose that she's never had." It turned out, however, that the remarks didn't sit well with one member of Meghan's family.

"Actually she has a large family who were always there with her and for her," Samantha Grant, a reportedly estranged half-sister of Meghan, wrote on her Twitter account. "Our household was very normal and when dad and Doria divorced, we all made it so it was like she had two houses. No one was estranged, she was just too busy." Samantha later advised everyone to read her tell-all book which is "complete with facts and photos."

"She has a large family. She always did. Our dad is amazing and completely self sacrificing. We made it so that she had two houses. How fun it was!" she added in another tweet.

She went on writing, "Meg's family(our family) is complete with sister, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and the glue of our family, our amazing completely self-sacrificing father. She always had this family,..Marrying merely extends it."

Samantha has been publicly talking about Meghan and Harry's relationship. She previously said in a November interview with "Good Morning Britain" that their relationship was "not about royalty so much as it is about love."

Meghan's parents and other family members, meanwhile, didn't talk much about their daughter's relationship with Harry. However, her father Thomas Markle and mom Doria Ragland previously said in a joint statement that they were "incredibly happy" following her engagement to Prince Harry. "Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and are very excited for their future together," they added.

Harry and Meghan will hold their wedding on May 19, 2018 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
