In the newly-released featurette, star Jon Bernthal reveals that the Marvel-related violent series will delve deeper into the murder of his wife and children.

AceShowbiz - Frank Castle will be back to fight some more! Netflix has announced that "The Punisher" has been renewed for season 2. The pickup arrives less than a month after the spin-off of "Daredevil" premiered its 13-episode first season on November 17 on the streaming giant.
The very violent series announces the news on its Facebook page. "He's just getting started. The Punisher will return for Season 2," so it writes in the caption alongside a short promo for the upcoming sophomore season.
It is still unknown, however, when the new season will arrive as well as how many episodes it will have.
Starring "The Walking Dead" alum Jon Bernthal, the series was filled with violence-driven scenes. The Marvel-related series canceled its New York Comic-Con panel back in October due to the devastating mass shooting in Las Vegas.
Along with the second season renewal announcement, "The Punisher" has also unearthed a behind-the-scenes featurette. It features interviews with Bernthal and other cast members Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Amber Rose Revah, Ben Barnes and EP Steve Lightfoot.
The newly-released video further takes fans to the violent world of vigilante character, former soldier Frank Castle a.k.a. the Punisher, who sets out to exact revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children.
"The way that Frank Caste was introduced in the 'Daredevil' story, he was very much reeling from personal trauma. And I'm enormously grateful that I've got the opportunity to go further into that story," Bernthal says.
EP and showrunner Lightfoot adds, "My version is outside 'The Defenders' timeline, so I think it's unique in that it's very much its own story."
It is also revealed that finding the people who killed Frank's beloved family is only the beginning. Bernthal reveals that the series will delve deeper into the murder to find out why and where his character has to go from there. "The journey we take him on is we reveal there was a whole other level to the conspiracy," Lightfoot shares.
