Fans must be thrilled knowing that their Superman/Aquaman theory was confirmed by none other than Jason Momoa. During an interview with DC All Access, Momoa revealed that the Man of Steel (Henry Cavill) was indeed saved by the king of Atlantis a.k.a. Arthur Curry in 2013's "Man of Steel".

Apparently, director Zack Snyder knew from the beginning that he was going to start a DC film universe while helming "Man of Steel". In the film, he included DC references to make a baseline of the universe, like Wayne Enterprises logo which could be seen during Superman's final fight, an empty transportation pod that indicated Supergirl being on Earth, and a hint that Aquaman might have saved Clark Kent when the latter was drowning.

The last one sparked speculations from devout DC fans, and Momoa confirmed the fan theory is valid. The Hawaiian-born actor learned the theory during early conversations with Snyder about the actor's role. "I'll give you a cool thing that's not in the movie-what Zack kind of told me his idea when he was doing-for 'Aquaman'," he teased. "In 'Man of Steel', when Henry is saving the oil rig and he's holding that up, and all of a sudden he kind of floats up on the ocean, he's [Zack] like 'I had Aquaman save him so that they did cross one paths at one point.' So then when Bruce goes 'You ever heard of Superman?' I have met him and we have crossed paths," said Lisa Bonet's husband.

After being briefly teased in "Man of Steel", Aquaman was featured in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". Arthur Curry was one of Lex Luthor's superhuman subjects and Luthor had one of Curry's footage on his computer files. The video showed Curry destroying a camera that was tracking him and then he swam away. Soon, the Atlantean royal will have his full appearance in upcoming "Justice League", released on November 17 in U.S. cinemas.
