AceShowbiz - Not only the tracklist of Taylor Swift's "Reputation" got leaked, but also the songs off the album leaked less than a day before the release date. Links to the songs were shared on multiple file-sharing websites and message, but it was soon taken down.
Knowing that the tracks off the album got leaked, some fans expressed their gratitude for the leaked tracks. A fan even said that she had found some peace in her heart to fully concentrate on midterms. "Thank you @Allah for allowing reputation to leak so I have found some peace in my heart to fully concentrate on my midterms without having to wake up at the crack of dawn," she wrote.

However, most Swifties, of course, were furious about that. Most of them took to Twitter to express their anger, saying that whoever leaked the tracks was disrespecting the 27-year-old songstress. A fan tweet, "Please delete it. Taylor worked hard for it. If you are really a fan, you should respect her decision and never do anything disappoint her."

Another fan wrote, "If you want to listen to the leak ahead of time that's personal and that's on you but as a fan you should know that Taylor wants this to be a secret until literally midnight. You're betraying her trust..."

Even though the tracks off the album have already leaked, the anticipation is still high as insiders of Taylor's label, Big Machine, told Billboard that the album would see first-week sales action of 2 million units. This is because the album's pre-order has reached more than 400,000 units, including 200,000 units on iTunes.
Big Machine's prediction has sparked debate among data analysts and sales teams at competing record labels. Many of them doubted that the album could achieve it. A label analyst said, "That's got to include streaming but even then I don't think they can make it."
Ahead of the release of the album, Taylor delivered a performance of a never-before-heard song entitled "New Year's Day". The performance was aired during ABC's "Scandal". The extended version of the performance will be aired on Freeform on November 10.
