In a recent interview, the 'Justice League' star also reveals that many people told him that he thwarted his potential to be a leading man by coming out of the closet.

AceShowbiz - Ezra Miller, who is known for his role as The Flash, is looking back to his decision to come out as a queer five years ago. The 25-year-old actor revealed that numerous people told him that his decision to come out would harm his future career.

In a recent interview with ShortList, Ezra stated that he was told that he made a mistake by doing it. "They said there's a reason so many gay, queer, gender-fluid people in Hollywood conceal their sexual identity, or their gender identity in their public image," he recalled. "I was told I had done a 'silly' thing in.. thwarting my own potential to be a leading man."

Despite that, Ezra has managed to star in a string of popular movies such as "Justice League" and "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them". The "Flashpoint" actor then added that being told that he made a mistake was "hard to hear." It eventually led him to question his decision.

"Maybe if I'd actually made a serious mistake? But not for this. I didn't think I'd done anything wrong, though there have been moments of doubt as a result of those conversations," he continued. "But... what they said was, in fact, 'rubbish.' It is us to manifest the world we want to exist in. But we're ready. Humans are ready."

Ezra concluded his interview by saying that he didn't feel any pressure over coming out publicly. "I don't feel pressure. Pressure would only come from a dam, or a block," he stated. "And when I came out I took the block away, removed the dam. I've undamned my identity in the world."

Ezra, who began his film career in 2008, made the decision to come out and confirm that he is attracted to more than one gender in 2012. He stated that he is very much in love with no one in particular. "I'm queer. I have a lot of really wonderful friends who are of very different sexes and genders. I am very much in love with no one in particular," he said.
