After his involvement in DC's 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' as well as his role in 'Ant-Man' sequel, Laurence Fishburne is now working on a secret Marvel project.

AceShowbiz - Laurence Fishburne is just one of many actors who have set foot in both DC and Marvel universe. After playing Perry White in DC's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", Fishburne is now working with Marvel. The actor revealed that aside of having a role in "Ant-Man and The Wasp", he had been working on a secret project with Marvel. "I'm developing something else for Marvel that I can't talk about. It's gonna be really cool. It's gonna change the world, we hope," Fishburne coyly told Collider.

The secret project came from Fisburne's ideas. He stated that he wanted to do something he could not work out because there was a lot of "legal red tape," which was probably related to "Spider-Man" or "The X-Men". Marvel Studios apparently liked the idea and contacted him back. "They said, 'Hey, what do you think of this?' and I went 'Oh yeah that, yes!' " Fishburne shared.

The 56-year-old actor admitted that he had been a massive fan of Marvel for a long time. He said that he admired the comic's stories in the '60s and '70s because they reflected what it was like for young Fishburne to grow up in New York at that time. For a long time, he had wanted to find a part in Marvel Cinematic Universe before joining DC. After his conflicting schedule didn't allow him to be part of "Justice League", he found a chance to approach Marvel Studios and asked whether the studio could make a room for him. "Look, if there's anything I can do that makes sense for me to do in the Marvel universe, I would love to be involved," the actor said.

The studio seemed to be impressed and happy with Fishburne's enthusiasm that he was offered to be Bill Foster in "Ant-Man and the Wasp". At the day of the interview with Collider, the actor stated that he still had two days left to shoot the "Ant-Man" sequel and he wasn't allowed to say much about his role in it. But he was kind enough to give a bit of teaser in the interview. "All I can tell you is I'm playing Bill Foster, who was Hank Pym's assistant. That's how I enter into the world and I'm very excited. Peyton Reed is directing it, who directed the first one. It's gonna be as fun and cool and smart as the first one," he dished.
