AceShowbiz - Song Joong Ki made a surprising appearance at Kim Joo Hyuk's mortuary, just a day after tying the knot with Song Hye Kyo. The "Battleship Island" star was spotted at the Asan Medical Centre in Seoul to pay final respects to the late actor on Wednesday, November 1. Contrary to his cheerful expression on his wedding day, Joong Ki kept a straight face as he made his entrance.

Joong Ki's visit to the mortuary was surprising because a newlywed attending a funeral is a taboo in Korea. The "Descendants of the Sun" actor has received praises for his thoughtful act. "The groom come to gv last respect to late oppa.left his big day to oppa.im so pround of Soongki," one wrote. Another commented, "Omo im so proud of him.. he still come to the funural during his busy day."

Also spotted at the mortuary on Wednesday were fellow actors like Choi Ji Woo, Yoo Ji Tae and Cha Seung Won among others. Joo Hyuk's former "2 Days & 1 Night" co-star Cha Tae Hyun was also present, accompanying the mourners as they were about to leave.

Tae Hyun and other "2 Days & 1 Night" cast members, including Kim Jong Min, Kim Joon Ho, Defconn and Yoon Shi Yoon, had paid respects to Joo Hyuk on Tuesday. Tae Hyun and some "Running Man" cast members such as Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Kwang Soo, Haha, Kim Jong Kook and Ji Suk Jin visited the mortuary after attending Joong Ki's wedding.

Meanwhile, another "2 Days & 1 Night cast member, Jung Joon Young, couldn't come to the mortuary because he's filming "Law of the Jungle" at Cook Islands.

Joo Hyuk passed away on Monday, October 30 in a tragic car accident.
