"The Walking Dead" actor accidentally revealed his baby's gender during his appearance at the "Supernatural" convention in New Jersey on Sunday, September 24. The 51-year-old actor let it slip that wife Hilarie Burton is pregnant with a baby girl.
Following his gaff, Jeffrey took to his Instagram account to share that special moment and explain what happened in a cute way. "Whoever took this picture?? Caught a moment... thank you. We shall cherish.…," he captioned a snap of him face-palming, realizing that he had messed everything up.
He went on writing in the caption, "I texted @hilarieburton right after I spilled the little girl beans... and, as usual... she was a rockstar. After all these years she's come to expect me to be a dope... thank god she gets it, and loves me regardless."
"Thank you New Jersey, and the incredible @cw_supernatural family! Love ya all, and had a blast seeing you," he added. The former "Grey's Anatomy" star also expressed his love to his "Supernatural" co-stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. He wrote, "And most of all... all the love in the world to my boys... @jensenackles and @jaredpadalecki it's always too little time together... but it's always special. I miss ya both. Xojd"
Jeffrey and his lady love previously hinted at the baby No. 2 during their appearance at the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards which was held on Sunday, September 17. The pair were all smiles as they posed for photos, with Jeffrey placing his hand on Hilarie's growing belly.
The notoriously private couple has been together since 2009. The two share a 7-year-old son named Augustus Morgan.
