AceShowbiz - Kate McKinnon introduced her new girlfriend, actress Jackie Abbott, at the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards. The first openly lesbian cast member of "Saturday Night Live" bringing her lover to the Sunday, September 17 award show marked their first public appearance together.

Kate, who was announced as Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series at the award show which was held at the Microsoft Theatre in L.A., got to celebrate her win with Jackie. The lovebirds were seated next to each other in the audience that night, and Kate was seen giving Jackie a hug before accepting her award.

Kate beat out competitors including Vanessa Bayer ("SNL"), Anna Chlumsky ("Veep"), Kathryn Hahn ("Transparent"), Leslie Jones ("SNL") and Judith Light ("Transparent"). The 33-year-old actress, who famously played Hillary Clinton on the sketch, said in her acceptance speech that "being part of this season of 'SNL' is the most meaningful thing I will ever do." She also thanked Hillary "for your grace and grit."

Jackie is an actor, photographer and artist based out of New York City, according to her website. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, she graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she "studied with Olympia Dukakis and worked for Susan Sarandon." According to her online resume, she was also a Tisch Drama Award recipient.

Kate and Jackie, whose special skills include tango, martial arts and golf, definitely share a sense of humor, with the latter writing on her site that she was "dubbed a cheeky firecracker by her professors" and that she "is as passionate as she is a goofball."

Kate has previously spoken up about being an LBGT comic, allegedly telling AfterEllen, "As minorities, we're on the fringe, and there's just something so wonderful about that perspective, something so inspiring. If you're a part of that minority, you can make fun of those people while respecting them and lifting them up."
