AceShowbiz - Kate McKinnon pokes fun at Pete Davidson's romance life in Hellmann's Super Bowl 2024 commercial. With the help of a fictional talking cat named Mayo Cat, Kate trolls her fellow "Saturday Night Live" alum who is known for his extensive list of celebrity exes.

The ad, published by PEOPLE, opens with how Kate contemplates what to make with leftover chicken, scallions and cheese. She then gets an inspiration thanks to her cat, which meows the word Mayo. That is the beginning of how the cat begins rising to stardom as Kate recalls the story of how "Hellmann's saved the leftovers."

Kate and her popular feline buddy start to make appearances on TV shows and the cat even scores a book gig. Probably marking the peak of its popularity, Mayo Cat ends up dating Pete. The "Bupkis" star can be seen gracing the red carpet while holding the cat. "Is it serious?" a reporter asks, to which Pete responds by giving them a cheeky nod and smile.

Unfortunately, their relationship is only brief as Kate looks heartbroken when she finds out that "Mayo Cat Dumps Davidson" through a headline of faux PEOPLE magazine. "You lasted longer than most," the comedian tells her cat, which responds, "Mayo!"

Of filming the ad, Kate reveals to the news outlet, "It was so fun." She adds, "I've always wanted to do a Super Bowl ad, and I was so thrilled to be presented with one that had a positive social message and also one that involved cats."

The "Barbie" actress also notes that Kate has nothing but love and support for Pete. "I love Pete and whenever me and my colleagues see each other, it's just this immediate sense of warmth and family and 'Oh my God, my brother, how are you?' " she explains. "He's so sweet and great and so it was really fun."
