Armie and Amber have the perfect responses to the 70-year-old conservative actor following his hypocritical comment against Armie's upcoming gay romance movie titled 'Call Me by Your Name'.

AceShowbiz - Armie Hammer and Amber Tamblyn had the perfect reactions to James Woods' hypocritical comment. The "Ghosts of Mississippi" actor earlier took to Twitter to diss Armie's new gay romance movie titled "Call Me by Your Name", which follows Armie's 24-year-old character and his 17-year-old love interest played by Timothee Chalamet.

"As they quietly chip away the last barriers of decency," the 70-year-old conservative actor wrote on Monday, September 11 along with the hashtag for the North American Man/Boy Love Association, an organization that advocates for the decriminalization of men in consenting relationship with underage boys.

Shortly after, Armie responded to James' post, "Didn't you date a 19 year old when you were 60.......?"

"The Man From U.N.C.L.E." star seemed to refer to the age gap in James' previous relationship. James was 59 when he began his seven-year relationship with then 19-year-old Ashley Madison. At the age of 66, James also dated 20-year-old Kristen Bauguess in 2013.

"The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" star Amber Tamblyn jumped onto the thread later, alleging that James once tried to hit on her and a friend at a restaurant. She tweeted, "James Woods tried to pick me and my friend up at a restaurant once. He wanted to take us to Vegas. 'I'm 16' I said. 'Even better' he said."

Armie revealed later that James had blocked him on the micro-blogging site and asked whether Amber had received the same treatment. "Not yet! But now that the attempted grabbed p***y is out of the bag I'd say he'll block me any minute now," she said.

Even without James' stamp of approval, "Call Me by My Name" received huge applause at the Toronto Film Festival. Armie said during a Q&A panel that he took the role to get him out of his comfort zone. "To be perfectly honest, I think the reason I took this movie, and the reason I had to take this movie, is that it scared me," he said. "It made me uncomfortable, it challenged me, and it pushed me. I couldn't be more thankful for the experience."

The film is set to be released in theaters across the nation on November 24. Directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by James Ivory, the coming-of-age drama is based on Andre Aciman's novel of the same name. It also stars Michael Stuhlbarg and Amira Casar among others.
