In his new legal docs, the singer took a jab at the woman by claiming that she assumed the risk of being infected by the STD by having 'casual, unprotected sexual intercourse.'

AceShowbiz - Usher has finally responded to one of the herpes lawsuits. After being accused by three individuals of exposing them to the STD, the R&B superstar insisted that one of the alleged victims, an unnamed Georgia woman, doesn't have any proof regarding her accusation. According to TMZ, Usher also noted that the woman's $20 million lawsuit doesn't say anything about whether she had been tested prior to their alleged sexual encounter.
"A previous sexual partner very well may have already infected her," Usher said in his new legal documents. He further claimed that the woman could have been infected after their alleged encounter, saying that she assumed the risk of getting herpes by having "casual, unprotected sexual intercourse and/or oral sex." For these reasons, Usher is asking the judge to throw out the woman's suit.
As previously reported, Usher had to cough up $1.1 million to settle an STD lawsuit back in 2012 after exposing his then-partner to herpes. According to the legal documents, the "Yeah" hitmaker used to have "greenish discharge" emanating from his penis. However, it apparently didn't stop him from having unprotected sex with some individuals.
Earlier this month, two women and a man filed an STD lawsuit against Usher, whose real name Usher Raymond IV, after they allegedly had vaginal and oral sex with him. "As a result of being diagnosed with Herpes and/or being exposed to the Herpes Virus, Plaintiffs have suffered severe emotional distress, birthing complications, stress, depression, anxiety about having contracted the disease or being exposed to Herpes," the suit read.
It also noted that "plaintiffs have suffered embarrassment, shame, anxiety, and revulsion at Raymond's failure and refusal to deny that he has Herpes and offer medical evidence that his diagnosis is negative and that he could not have and did not expose the Plaintiffs to Herpes."
A few weeks ago, one of the alleged victims named Quantasia Sharpton spoke out at a press conference. "He never warned me about any STDs," she said. "It was just after my 19th birthday. I never heard from him again. When I first heard reports that he had herpes, I couldn't believe it. I had a child a year ago, and I knew I was negative."
"Although I am negative, I am upset by the reports because I never would have consented, if I would have known. I would not have taken a risk of getting an incurable disease," Quantasia added. "I feel that my rights were violated. I am speaking out today on behalf of myself and others, some of whom are positive and are embarrassed to speak out publicly."
