AceShowbiz - Rachel Lindsay responded to the critical comments made by her former suitor DeMario Jackson. The former Bachelorette was not happy after Jackson said during a podcast interview that she was only attracted to white men.
"I was only there for the two weeks in the house. From the beginning you knew that she was attracted to white men. You knew that. No disrespect, you just knew. She had that vibe," said Jackson during the interview.
"From night one, we all set down, all the guys and I said, 'They're going to have a black representative, either myself or Eric, and they're going to have Dean, Peter, and Brian as the final four.' We all caught that," he went on.
Lindsay apparently listened to the podcast and clapped back at Jackson. In the comments on their Instagram, the brunette beauty wrote, "Says the guy that dated Lexi. Demario never knew me and still doesn't." She referred to Jackson's white girlfriend.
DeMario Jackson was sent packing after his girlfriend Lexi Thexton showed up during filming. Lindsay eventually narrowed down the competition to Bryan Abasolo and Peter Kraus. She accepted Abasolo's proposal after an emotional breakup with Kraus. She was accused of settling for a ring instead of going for love, but she vehemently denied it.
Jackson returned to TV on "Bachelor in Paradise" and caused controversy again with his sexual escapades with Corinne Olympios, a former contestant of "The Bachelor" season 21. The show was briefly suspended due to the incident. It later resumed without the two following sexual assault allegations.
In a recent interview with "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison, Jackson called the accusations "every man's biggest fear." "I know I'm not that monster they're trying to portray on TV," he said. "They wanted the angry black guy and this little, innocent white girl. But it wasn't."
He got emotional when talking about his family's reaction to the scandal, "It's tough. It's difficult. I love my mom more than anything in this world. Seeing her cry every single day, it was difficult. I'm her everything, best friends. I had to make her deactivate [social media], because she was going to war defending me. It sucked."
Olympios will give her side of story on August 29. She tweeted, "Everyone: before making your assumptions, watch my interview with @chrisbharrison next week to hear it straight from me #bachelorinpardise."
