AceShowbiz - Whitney Port officially embarks on a new journey as a mom. "The Hills" alum has welcomed her first son with her husband Tim Rosenman on July 27. The new mom announced the exciting news on her blog on Monday, July 31.

"So, I have some news. No big deal, but I created another human being and then delivered him into the world at 12.30 A.M. Thursday morning," the former MTV reality star wrote on her blog. She revealed that she named the newborn baby Sonny Sanford Rosenman.

Whitney shared an adorable picture of her with Sonny on her chest. "We've all heard mothers give the same speech about how life changing the love for your baby is, and it's not like I didn't believe it or anything, but I guess I couldn't actually connect to those exact feelings until the doctor placed Sonny onto my chest," she shared.

Whitney also offered a better look at the baby boy in an adorable photo. The baby could be seen wrapped in a striped yellow fabric and a cute matching baby blanket with pictures of giraffes on it. The new mom wrote, "I love him and feel protective over him, but more than anything, I'm just like obsessed. I can't stop looking at him, or thinking about him when I am in another room."

"I can't wait to watch him change and grow and take on my traits and Timmy's," she went on writing. "I could go on forever, so I'll stop now, but get ready for a lot more Sonny talk coming soon," she concluded her post.

She also took to Instagram to announce the news with a photo of water-painting which read, "Welcome baby Sonny." Whitney captioned the photo, "Sorry I've been MIA for like a week! I lost my phone. Just kidding!! I made a human! Sonny Sanford Rosenman was born on 7/27/17!! Everyone is so happy and healthy and we are home now."

Whitney and Tim met on the set of "The Hills" spin-off, "The City", as her husband served as an associate producer on the show. They got engaged in 2013 and later married in Palm Springs, California in November 2015. The new parents announced in February were expecting their first child.
