The 23-year-old singer has announced that he will not be performing on North American stadium run and five Asian dates of the extensive tour.

AceShowbiz - It looks like Justin Bieber has had enough of his "Purpose" world tour. The Canadian superstar has decided to pull out of remaining dates of the extensive trek "due to unforeseen circumstances" after hitting the road for nearly two years in support of his latest album "Purpose".

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the 'Purpose' World Tour concerts," a statement on his official website reads. "Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the 'Purpose' World Tour over the last 18 months."

"He is grateful and honored to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across 6 continents during this run," it continues. "However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase."

Justin initially had fourteen shows left on the tour, mostly North American stadium dates which would be supported by Vic Mensa, Migos, Martin Garrix and Kehlani. He was also scheduled to perform in some Asian countries, including Japan, Hong Kong, Philippines and Singapore.

While fans are feeling betrayed by the sudden announcement, Justin has extended an apology to them. In a video obtained by TMZ, the "Love Yourself" hitmaker shares that he is currently looking for some me time. "Yeah, everything's fine. I've been on tour for two years. Just resting and getting some relaxation, we're going to ride some bikes," he says, before adding, "I love you guys, I think you guys are awesome. Sorry for anybody who feels disappointed or betrayed, it's not in my heart or anything. Have a blessed day!"

Additionally, Justin is said to be planning to step out of the spotlight following the cancellation. "He was biting off more than he could chew and was over it and decided to cancel the rest of the tour because he's nearly exhausted," a source tells HollywoodLife.com. "He needs a break and is looking to take the longest break of his career. He might not be friends with Taylor Swift, but he admires how she can just disappear and give herself time and he is looking to doing that by getting out of the limelight and focusing on himself."

When everyone seems to go against Justin's decision to cancel the remainder of his tour, fellow singer John Mayer has taken to Twitter to voice his support of the cancellation. "When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage if they kept going," he writes. "We've lost so many great artists lately. I give Justin [two thumbs up] for realizing it was time to call it. You should too."
