While presenting the award for best revival of a musical, the 'Late Show' host likens Trump's presidency to a failed revival show which 'could close early.'

AceShowbiz - Stephen Colbert couldn't miss the chance to take a jab at President Donald Trump while presenting the award for best revival of a musical at the Tony Awards on Sunday night, June 11. Using a failed revival as a metaphor, the comedian predicted Trump's short presidency.

"It's been a great year for revivals in general, especially that one they're reviving down in Washington D.C.," he began. "It started way off Broadway, in the 80's, on 5th Avenue. Huge production values. Couple problems: the main character is totally unbelievable. And hair and makeup - jeesh! No!"

"This D.C. production is supposed to have a four-year run, but the reviews have not been kind. Could close early. We don't know," he added. Colbert also said that "Miss Saigon" "is the only pageant locker room that our President hasn't walked in on."

The award for best revival of a musical went to "Hello, Dolly" starring Bette Midler, David Hyde Pierce, Gavin Creel and Kate Baldwin.

Earlier that night, Colbert joined Tony Award host Kevin Spacey in a musical medley to kick off the show.
