Emma Stone has watched "La La Land" promposal and she's impressed. However, the Oscar-winning actress was forced to turn it down because of work commitment. She sent a letter, apologizing to Jacob Staudenmaier, the teen who did the elaborate musical video.

The student brought the letter when dropping by "Good Morning America". He said, "I have the letter right here." He then read it, "JACOB, thanks for making the greatest proposal I've ever received. I can't tell you what an honor that was and how much I smiled through that entire beautifully orchestrated video. I'm in London working, but I hope you have the best time at prom, and I'm grateful you thought of me. THANK YOU. P.S. I do see [Ryan] Gosling around the eyes. Love, Emma."

Jacob is a 17-year-old junior at Arcadia High School in Stone's hometown of Scottsdale, Arizona. He rewrote the lyrics to "La La Land" musical opener "Another Day of Sun" for the promposal. "I know my voice ain't great, but please be my prom date," he sang, adding that he would be the "coolest guy around" is he had her as a date.

"Whether she says yes or no I think just a response in general would be amazing, but I guess if she did say yes then that would be the best outcome possible. But either way I've enjoyed everything that's happened so far," he previously said. "I have this girl that I know that says she'd love to go. Even if Emma says yes she said she would be completely fine with that."
