AceShowbiz - It's been nearly four years since Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx first sparked dating rumors in 2013. While they are mostly keeping their lips sealed when asked about the speculations, Katie and Jamie are slowly "bringing their relationship out in public and are OK with their not-so-secret romance."
"Katie and Jamie are finally getting to a place in their relationship where they are feeling free and proud of their love," a source close to the couple tells HollywoodLife.com. "They have been secretly dating for years and until recently have kept their passion for each other behind closed doors." The couple was first spotted together in the summer of 2013 when they were dancing at a charity event in the Hamptons. It was just one year after she filed for divorce from Tom Cruise.
Because Jamie always has respect to Tom, he allegedly wants to keep his relationship with Katie quiet. "Jamie and Tom are good friends and Jaime never wanted to do anything to interfere with the possible opportunity of them working together again in the future," the source adds. Jamie and Tom have been friends since they worked in 2004 film "Collateral", so he doesn't want to make him upset by dating his ex-wife.
Katie and Jamie were recently photographed while having dinner together in NYC. The pair were also spotted after midnight "holding hands while walking near the pool" at a hotel and members-only club. "They're very serious," the source previously said, adding that Katie's 10-year-old daughter Suri Cruise was well aware of their relationship.
Katie has managed to continue her life after splitting from Tom in the most private way for the sake of her daughter. "My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now," she said in an interview with Town & Country magazine earlier this year. "It's very important that I'm present and she has a stable, innocent childhood."
