Netflix releases a new teaser for "Marvel's The Defenders". The black-and-white video shows CCTV footage showing the four superheroes in an elevator. It seemingly shows them after a big fight. While Finn Jones is catching his breath, Jessica Jones is quick to punch the camera ultimately putting an end to the video. She wears her signature leather jacket, Luke Cage is in his usual street outfit, while Matt Murdock and Danny Rand suit up. While Danny is mask-less, Matt hides his face with a scarf.
The teaser also announces that the new Marvel series is scheduled to come out on August 18. Krysten Ritter is back Jessica Jones, Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock / Daredevil, Mike Colter reprises his role as Luke Cage, and Finn Jones is back as Danny Rand / Iron Fist. Jon Bernthal is also rumored to return as The Punisher.
Besides unleashing a new promotional video, Marvel and Netflix drum up anticipation by launching a viral website about fictional newspaper, New York Bulletin. It contains news about the events in the Marvel TV universe.
