Ansel Elgort is apparently a fan of "La La Land". On March 21, he took to Instagram to share a short video of him covering "City of Stars", one of the songs in the musical film. In the clip, Ansel showcases his skills in singing and playing piano.
"City of Stars... are you shining just for me?/ City of Stars... there's so much that I can't see/ Who knows? This is a start of something wonderful I knew/ Or just one dream that I cannot make true," Ansel sings with a dreamy voice, while tapping the piano keys skillfully.
The "Divergent" star does his best in covering the Oscar-winning song. He even wears a shirt to match the song. There are a woman and a man kissing under a starry night on his shirt.
Ansel definitely succeeds in making his fans swoon over him. He got more than nine-thousand comments on Instagram. "This is simply lovely as hell," a fan commented. Another fan gushed, "Lovely. Might sound biased but I preferred your version over the original." Many fans even want to hear the full version of the cover.
The actor is no stranger to music. Besides an actor, he is a singer and a DJ. He released his latest single, "Thief", last February. Meanwhile, his upcoming movie is "Baby Driver", in which he plays Baby, an expert driver with hearing impairment.
