AceShowbiz - Full trailer of "The Void" features a bunch of cults and guts in a hospital. The 1980s throwback horror film follows a group of people who are stuck in a hospital surrounded by terrifying cloaked figures. These figures, who have a black triangle mark on their hoods, attempt to sacrifice the people to an evil entity.

The trailer features a police officer named Carter (Aaron Poole) rushing a blood-soaked man to a local hospital with night shift staff. When Carter walks outside the hospital, he has an encounter with the cloaked figures who have a black triangle mark on their hoods. One of them attacks and wounds Carter with a knife. Driven by the incident, Carter later decides to go down into the depths of the hospital and find a huge triangle mark which is often associated with evil spirit.

Monsters, guts and blood are graphically featured afterward. Patients and staffs of the hospital start losing their sanity. The trailer ends with a character showing pages from medical book to a patient and saying in a creepy voice, "Statistically, you more likely to die in a hospital than anywhere else."

The movie pays homage to 1980s horror movies which are often packed with both disgust and terror. Co-directed and co-written by Jeremy Gillespie and Steven Kostanski, "The Void" first premiered at Fantastic Fest, Toronto After Dark and London Film Festival last year. The horror film, which is distributed by Screen Media Films, will hit U.S. theaters on April 7.

Also starring in "The Void" are Kathleen Munroe, Ellen Wong, Kenneth Welsh and Daniel Fathers.
