AceShowbiz - Hoda Kotb is over the moon to introduce her newly adopted daughter. "My girl #haleyjoy," she shares on Twitter and Instagram a picture of her holding her adorable baby girl. "Be still my heart. My prayers have been answered #HaleyJoy and as a friend said today-- she is 'right on time'."
The baby was born on Valentine's Day and the "Today" co-host explains the meaning behind the name. "Haley is because of Halley's Comet," the new mom says, referring to the rare comet visible from Earth every 75 years. "It was one of those things that I just picture her sailing through the sky."
"My sister and I were talking on the phone and she was saying, 'You know, I'm Hala, you're Hoda, our niece is Hana - what about Haley?' " Kotb remembers her conversation with her sister. As for the middle name 'Joy', she says, "Joy just because she brings us joy. She's got a beautiful way about her."
