Jon Voight Accuses Shia LaBeouf and Miley Cyrus of Treason Amid Anti-Trump Protests

The 78-year-old actor, a Republican and Donald Trump supporter, says that young celebrities like Shia and Miley are 'teaching going up against' the government and the president.

AceShowbiz - A Republican and one of President %cDonald Trump%'s biggest supporters in Hollywood, %cJon Voight% has expressed his concern about celebrities participating in Anti-Trump protests. The father of %cAngelina Jolie% goes as far as accusing young, but influential stars like %cShia LaBeouf% and %cMiley Cyrus% of "teaching going up against" the government and the president.

"[It's] been very destructive, this marching against the government and against the president," Jon tells TMZ, referring to the Women's March on Washington that took place over the weekend. The 78-year-old actor says that the right to protest is "what the first amendment is all about," before asking, "But what was the march about?"

"When you see the young people, like Shia LaBeouf and ,Miley Cyrus, and they have a lot of followers, young people are looking at them and what are they teaching? They're teaching treason," claims Jon. "They're teaching going up against the government, not accepting the will of the people on this presidency and it's a very sad day when I see this."

"This Hollywood group," he continues, "It's very sad thing for me to witness what they're doing. They have a lot of influence, a huge amount of influence." The Oscar winner concludes that the march was against the government and against the president, and "it's not so good."

Shia teamed up with %cJaden Smith% to launch a live-stream protest titled "HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US" on Trump's inauguration held on Friday, January 20. The official website of the protest would run for four years or as long as the duration of Trump's presidency. Miley, meanwhile, was among celebrities joining the Women's March on Washington a day after the inauguration.
