The character originally played by Linda Harrison in the classic adaptation is being revived for the reboot's upcoming threequel.

"War for the Planet of the Apes" will see a familiar character from the first "Planet of the Apes" movie in 1968. Entertainment Weekly learns that Nova originally played by Linda Harrison is set to return for the third installment of the reboot.
While Nova was a love interest to the lead human character George Taylor (Charlton Heston) in the original story, she will be brought back as a little girl in the new movie. Played by Amiah Miller, the young girl has been glimpsed in the trailer.
Maurice convinces Caesar to take the girl with them after the apes killed her parents. "The battle is not just between the humans and the apes, but in Caesar's soul," explains director Matt Reeves. "The girl is his pull back to his empathy and - for lack of a better word - his human side."
"War for the Planet of the Apes" is due July 14, 2017 Stateside. Andy Serkis returns as Caesar and Woody Harrelson is tapped as his human opponent.
