The cancellation comes just after the show, based on based on Thomas Maier's biography of the same name, concluded season 4 on November 13. An official announcement is expected to be made sometime soon.

The show revolves around the story of Dr. William Masters and Virginia Johnson, two pioneering researchers of human sexuality who are trying to save their practice.
