FX has dropped two teasers for the upcoming "X-Men" spin-off series "Legion". It introduces Dan Stevens as Professor X's son and Aubrey Plaza as his friend. One of the videos called "WTF" sees them staring at a drooling patient while the other clip shows him switching bodies with a girl after a kiss.

The show follows David Haller, a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, he has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. After a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he's confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and visions might be real.

The TV series comes from Noah Hawley ("Fargo"). While Hawley described it as "more of a fable," Bryan Singer said it would "relate to future X-Men movies." The movie director told The Hollywood Reporter, "[Legion is] part of the X-Men universe, but when you watched it, you wouldn't have to label it, it could exist completely on its own."

The new show will debut in 2017.
