Ariel Winter has put college on hold. The "Modern Family" actress was originally set to begin her first year at UCLA this fall, but she's afraid her hectic schedule will prevent her from reaching her full potential in school so she decides to hold it off until next year.

"Unfortunately this year, due to production schedule, I have to start next year," the 18-year-old star opens up to E! News. "So I will be starting as a [UCLA] Bruin next year." Although she won't be taking any classes sometime soon, she is still interested in studying political science.

Besides her role as Alex Dunphy on "The Modern Family", Ariel Winter also lends her voice to "Sofia the First" and the upcoming "Big Hero 6" series. On the big screen, she is currently filming "Dog Years" with Burt Reynolds.
