When shown partial pictures of his six female co-stars during a segment on 'Watch What Happens Live', the British actor says he's 'never seen' Zellweger before in his life.

AceShowbiz - After all those movies they did together, Hugh Grant said he'd "never seen" Renee Zellweger before. The actor failed to recognize his "Bridget Jones's Diary" co-star when he's shown a partial image of the actress during his recent appearance on "Watch What Happens Live".

In a segment airing during the show's Thursday night, August 11 episode, Grant was asked to identify his six female co-stars from six pictures of them from their nose up. "Who is the one second from the right, because I've never seen her before in my life?" he asked, referring to a photo of Zellweger.

He looked shocked a little bit when he's finally told it was Zellweger, whom he also co-starred in 2004's "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason". "Oh Renee!" he said in surprise.

In the segment, Grant also took time to throw some shade at his other co-stars, including Julia Roberts, Drew Barrymore, Julianne Moore, Meryl Streep and Sarah Jessica Parker. He said that none of the ladies was "down to earth" and revealed he hadn't kept in touch with any of them because "they all hate me, I think."

Grant's failure to recognize Zellweger came after she was heavily criticized for her very different appearance. The actress, who's reprising her role as Bridget Jones in the upcoming "Bridget Jones's Baby", recently penned an op-ed piece in which she denied having undergone plastic surgeries and slammed sexist double standards.

"Not that it's anyone's business, but I did not make a decision to alter my face and have surgery on my eyes," she wrote in the essay published on The Huffington Post. "This fact is of no true import to anyone at all, but that the possibility alone was discussed among respected journalists and became a public conversation is a disconcerting illustration of news/entertainment confusion and society's fixation on physicality."
