The music video for Katy's 2016 Olympics anthem 'Rise' has been released.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry has released the highly-anticipated music video for her 2016 Rio Olympics anthem "Rise". "Through the blood, sweat (lots of it), and tears, we keep rising," the "Roar" hitmaker tweets, "Finally, my new video for #RISE."

In the video, directed by Paul Gore and produced by Matthew Ayriss and Danny Lockwood, Katy is seen struggling with her pink parachute under water and dangling from a rocky cliff. The "Fireworks" singer eventually flies with her parachute before landing on the rocky cliff again.

Katy adds on Twitter, "ALSO, you can watch the video in its entirety again on NBC's Rio Olympics Preview Special TONIGHT in the 8 pm ET/PT hour #Rio2016."

Katy previously said of the song, "This is a song that's been brewing inside me for years, that has finally come to the surface. I was inspired to finish it now, rather than save it for my next album, because now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite. I know that together we can rise above the fear - in our country, and around the world."

"I can't think of a better example than the Olympic athletes, as they gather in Rio with their strength and fearlessness, to remind us how we ALL can come together, with the resolve to be the best we can be," she continued, "I hope this song can inspire us to heal, unite, and rise together."
