A week after releasing her new Olympics anthem, the 'Roar' hitmaker gives fans a glimpse at the upcoming music video.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry has released a teaser video for her 2016 Rio Olympics anthem "Rise". "Soon, I will #RISE," she writes on Twitter alongside a short clip to the soon-to-be-released music video, which was directed by Paul Gore.

In the teaser, Katy is seen trekking across a desert mountainscape while dragging along a pink parachute behind her. "Don't be surprised. I will still rise," she sings. The 31-year-old singer then rises from beneath the parachute under water while gasping for breath.

"Rise" will be Katy's first music video since "This Is How We Do" in 2014. An NBC Olympics promo video with the song was released last week. The network plans to use the song as its anthem throughout the broadcast next month.

Katy said in a promo video for "Rise" shared on Instagram, "This is a song that's been brewing inside me for years, that has finally come to the surface. I was inspired to finish it now, rather than save it for my next album, because now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite. I know that together we can rise above the fear - in our country, and around the world."

"I can't think of a better example than the Olympic athletes, as they gather in Rio with their strength and fearlessness, to remind us how we ALL can come together, with the resolve to be the best we can be," she continued, "I hope this song can inspire us to heal, unite, and rise together."
