Jon Bernthal is officially announced to reprise his role as Marvel's vigilante on a standalone series about Frank Castle.

It's official! The Punisher is getting his own series. Netflix has ordered a full first season of "Marvel's The Punisher" focusing on military veteran Frank Castle who was introduced during the second season of "Daredevil".
Jon Bernthal will reprise his badass role as the Marvel vigilante. Steve Lightfoot ("Hannibal") serves as executive producer and showrunner in addition to writing the series' first two episodes. A short teaser is unleashed on Twitter.

"The Punisher" marks the sixth Marvel series ordered by Netflix including "Marvel's Jessica Jones", "Luke Cage", "Marvel's Iron Fist", and "Marvel's The Defenders".
