Fans will soon have a new Shawn Mendes album to play on repeat. The Canadian teen has revealed in a new interview that he plans to drop his second studio effort later this year after he finishes his ongoing tour.

"After we finish [touring] in Europe, we're going to head to America to do the big American tour, and then release a new single and then an album in September," Mendes said to Oslo radio station NRK MP3.

The yet-to-be-titled album will follow "Handwritten" which reached No. 1 on Billboard 200 and spawned the hit "Stitches". Following the 2015 project's arrival, the singer teamed up with Fifth Harmony's Camila Cabello for a duet called "I Know What You Did Last Summer" that may or may not end up on his next LP.

Mendes is currently in the European leg of his tour, which kicked off last month. He will bring the tour to North America in July and is scheduled to wrap things off on August 21 with a show at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
