AceShowbiz - Here are the TV nominees for the 42nd Annual Saturn Awards. Being one of the most watched cable series today, "The Walking Dead" leads the nomination list with seven nods, including Best Horror TV Series. In the category, the hit AMC series is up against its spin-off "Fear the Walking Dead", FX's "American Horror Story: Hotel" and MTV's "Teen Wolf" among others.
Its lead Andrew Lincoln is vying for Best TV Actor. Co-stars Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride and Tovah Feldshuh are pitted against each other in Best Supporting TV Actress category. Chandler Riggs is additionally nominated for Best Younger Actor on TV and John Carroll Lynch is up for Best Guest Performance on TV for his role on the zombie drama series.
HBO's hit series "Game of Thrones" trails behind "The Walking Dead" with five nominations. It is competing against popular freshman "Outlander", Syfy's "Haven" and MTV's "The Shannara Chronicles" among others for Best Fantasy TV Series.
The show also earns a nod in Best Supporting TV Actor through Kit Harington, another in Best Supporting TV Actress category for Lena Headey's performance, and two nods in Younger Actor on TV for Maisie Williams and Brenock O'Connor.
Other shows which bag multiple nominations are "Daredevil", "Hannibal", "Supergirl" and "Wayward Pines" with four apiece. "Daredevil" and "Supergirl" are vying for Best Superhero Adaptation Series alongside "DC's Legends of Tomorrow", "The Flash", "Gotham", "Marvel's Agent Carter" and "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.".
"Hannibal" is listed in Best Action Thriller TV Series, up against "Bates Motel", "Blindspot", "Fargo", "The Last Ship", "The Librarians" and "Mr.Robot".
Saturn Awards also honors last year's best sci-fi, fantasy and horror films. The winners will be announced at a ceremony taking place in June in Burbank.
