Is a Chris Brown and Zayn Malik collaboration really happening? Breezy sent the internet into a frenzy on Friday, February 19 when he posted on Instagram a video of him lip-syncing what sounds like a "Back to Sleep" remix and hinted in the caption that it would be a joint project with the former One Direction singer as well as a bunch of other big names in R&B.
"#TURBS the ultimate R&B song @howuseeit @zayn round 1!! @miguel @augustalsina @brysontiller round 2!round 3 @tyrese @therealtank," he wrote alongside the teaser, suggesting that there could be three versions of the remix with Usher and Malik featured in the first version, Miguel, August Alsina and Bryson Tiller in the second one, and Tyrese Gibson and Tank in the third one.
The collaboration would be a dream come true for both Malik and Brown, who are now labelmates at RCA Records. The Brit tweeted a few years ago that the R&B superstar was "a massive inspiration and influence in my life." Brown himself expressed desire to work with the "Pillowtalk" singer last year.
"Of course, of course, [I'd work with him]. I don't shy away from anyone, and I think he's a great artist," he said. "Now he's doing his solo thing, I know he has a huge fan base and the fans are waiting to hear his stuff, so it would be cool to get down and collab. I'm not a hard guy to get in the studio with - I'm on everybody's songs - so any time."
