AceShowbiz - Kesha (formerly %cKe$ha%) lost in her legal battle against %cDr. Luke%. The "Tik Tok" hitmaker asked a judge to have her record contract with Dr. Luke and Sony dismissed, accusing the producer of abusing her. She broke down in tears as New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich denied her request.
"You're asking the court to decimate a contract that was heavily negotiated and typical for the industry," judge Shirley said, citing the lack of medical evidence related to the singer's assault allegations. "My instinct is to do the commercially reasonable thing," the judge added.
"There has been no showing of irreparable harm. She's being given opportunity to record," judge Shirley also said, referring to Sony's statement that Kesha had been allowed to record without Dr. Luke's involvement or presence in the studio but she still declined.
Fans rallied to support Kesha, holding "Free Kesha" protest outside the court and taking it to Twitter to slam the ruling. "Thank you for all the support in my legal case animals. i love all of you. it's meant the world to me. xoxo," the singer posted on Twitter.
She also posted on Instagram, "I have nothing left to hide. I did this because the truth was eating away my soul and killing me from the inside. this is not just for me. this is for every woman, every human who has ever been abused. sexually. emotionally. mentally. I had to tell the truth. so the outcome will be what it will be. there's nothing left I can do. it's just so scary to have zero control in your fate. but this is my path this life for whatever reason."
