Dakota Johnson needed a butt double while filming "Fifty Shades of Grey". It's not because she didn't want to show off her derriere, but it was because of her tattoo on the private area.

The movie's cinematographer Seamus McGarvey explained that he had to cast a butt double for Anastasia Steel, Johnson's sexually innocent character. "We did have a butt double for Dakota," McGarvey told New York Times. "I had the pleasure of casting a non-tattooed bottom."

Johnson said that was not the first time that she had to cover her tattoo. "I went through a phase where I loved tattoos, and I loved the feeling of getting tattooed," Johnson explained. "But now I've outgrown them mostly, and [because] I always have to cover them for jobs, God, they're annoying!"

McGarvey said that he had experienced some bizarre moments during the filming of the erotic drama, which needed a lot of editing. "[Johnson] had kind of a patch that went over her pubic area, and right round her whole body," McGarvey shared. "We were in the curious situation, in post-production, of adding [pubic hair]."

However, Johnson's co-star Jamie Dornan also needed some coverage. McGarvey revealed that "Jamie had a cover over his penis," which he had to hide during post-production.
