A rep for Swift says the singer actually 'cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message' when he asked her to share 'Famous' via her Twitter account.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift never approved of Kanye West's explicit line about her on the song "Famous". Her rep has responded to a report claiming the rapper personally called the singer and told her about the lyrics prior to releasing the track.

According to TMZ, West called Swift late last month to make sure she wouldn't get upset about the line "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, I made that b***h famous," which he deemed a "joke." The site went on claiming that the 26-year-old diva understood and gave 'Ye the green light to drop the song.

After the TMZ article was published, Swift's rep revealed in a statement that Ye did call the "Bad Blood" hitmaker, but that was because he wanted to put a link to the song on her Twitter account. "[Swift] declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, 'I made that b***h famous,' " the rep said.

Swift hasn't personally addressed West's harsh lyrics about her, but her brother and a lot of her famous friends like Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez and Jaime King have taken to social media to show support for her.
