AceShowbiz - Meek Mill was sentenced to 6-12 months of house arrest by a Philadelpia judge on Friday, February 5 for violating his probation. The house arrest will start March 1 and the rapper was ordered to wear an ankle monitor during the confinement.

Mill won't be allowed to work or perform in concert. Besides, he's required to perform community service for adults. The 28-year-old rapper will serve house arrest at least 90 days before the judge reevaluates the period to determine how much longer he will remain under house arrest.

The rapper violated his probation stemming from a 2009 gun and drug charge when he and girlfriend Nicki Minaj flew to Los Angeles to attend the American Music Awards in November 2015. The rapper left without a travel voucher from the court, which he was required to obtain as part of the terms of his probation.

Though Mill is pretty lucky because the judge decided that he would not serve any jail time for his violation, the house arrest may halt his plan to marry his beloved girlfriend. Mill and Minaj, who accompanied him in court and gave testimony on his behalf, have been teasing their wedding for months now.
