'Thor: Ragnarok' Rumored to Have a Female Main Baddie

The powerful new villain is reported to form an alliance with the infamous God of Mischief played by Tom Hiddleston.

AceShowbiz - Some of "Thor: Ragnarok" plotline may have been revealed. According to Geek.com, Liam Hemsworth's God of Thunder is pitted against Hela, the ruler of Hel and Niflheim who has power over the dead souls of the Nine Realms. Cate Blanchett is rumored to portray the female villain.

In the upcoming film, "Hela and Loki will have set their plan well in motion by the time Thor gets wise to what's going on. Hela ends up creating the incident to Thor's journey in the film. ... When Thor confronts Hela, things do not go well. Not only does she banish Thor from Asgard, but she destroys Mjolnir!"

Directed by Taika Waititi, the third "Thor" flick is scheduled to make its way out across the country starting November 3, 2017. Tom Hiddleston is back as Loki, Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, and Mark Ruffalo as Hulk.

There hasn't been official word on Blanchett's addition to the cast ensemble but Ruffalo once let it slip, "I saw her at the Governor's banquet here and heard that maybe she was circling, they were talking to her about the part, so I ran up to her and I was like, 'Please, please, please make this work!' She's just one of the best, and to have her play a baddie is going to be really exciting."
