The British singer asks his collaborator Jimmy Napes who Thom Yorke is after a reporter asked him about Radiohead's unused 'Spectre' song that they released last month.

AceShowbiz - Does Sam Smith really have no idea who Thom Yorke is? He seemed like he either genuinely never heard of the veteran rocker or just threw shade at him when asked about Radiohead's unreleased song for "Spectre" during the 2016 Golden Globes last weekend.
Fresh off winning the Best Original Song for "Writing's on the Wall", the "Spectre" theme song he did with Jimmy Napes, Smith was answering questions from reporters backstage when someone asked him what he thought about Radiohead's song which the group shared online a few weeks ago.
Smith turned to his collaborator Napes for help, whispering to him, "Thom Yorke?" The British crooner later said he's "surprised" that Radiohead crafted a tune for the latest "James Bond" film and admitted he hadn't listened to the band's song.
"Not going to lie, a little bit surprised, but I haven't listened to it personally because I did the 'Spectre' theme song," he told the reporters.

Radiohead released their "Spectre" track, which was aptly titled "Spectre", in late December as a Christmas gift to fans. "Last year we were asked to write a tune for Bond movie 'Spectre'. Yes we were," Yorke revealed in some accompanying Twitter posts. "It didn't work out... but became something of our own which we love very much."
Smith's own "Spectre" song "Writing's on the Wall" was met with a lot of negative reviews from listeners. However, it managed to become the first "James Bond" soundtrack to reach No. 1 on the U.K.'s singles chart, a feat that not even Adele's "Skyfall" could achieve.
