Scott Weiland's Funeral Quietly Held in Los Angeles

Dave Kushner's wife said the memorial was filled with love and funny memories of the former Velvet Revolver frontman.

AceShowbiz - Scott Weiland was quietly laid to rest on Thursday, December 10 in Los Angeles. Several rockers paid their last respect to the former Stone Temple Pilots singer who died at the age of 48 on December 3.

According to Chris Kushner's Instagram post, the funeral was held at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Kushner is the wife of Velvet Revolver's guitarist Dave Kushner. "A very sad day when u bury a friend. He was a good man. Don't believe everything u read. Remember, we were all there," Chris captioned a photo of her husband and Weiland.

Chris also said that the memorial was "was filled w/ love and funny beautiful stories about Scott". The Wildabouts drummer Joey Castillo commented on the pic, "He was more than a good man, he was Human...RIP Scotty."

Meanwhile, police are still trying to determine the cause of Weiland's death but signs are pointing to drug overdose. The singer was found unresponsive on board his tour bus which was heading for The Wildabouts' concert in Minnesota. Small amounts of cocaine were found inside the vehicle and bassist Tommy Black was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
