The Katnis Everdeen movie stayed at number one with $18.9 million, while the horror flick launched to $16.3 million.

AceShowbiz - "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2" topped this weekend's box office for the third consecutive weekend with $18.9 million from 4,086 locations. The final installment of "The Hunger Games" movie series also dominated international box office with $32.4 million for a worldwide total of $525.5 million.

In the slow post-Thanksgiving weekend, there was only one new major release at the box office. "Krampus", which was expected to earn $15.5 million in its first weekend, surpassed the expectation with $16 million from 2,902 theaters.

" 'Krampus' was relatable to all age groups with exit polls indicating a nearly even audience split under and over the age of 21," said Universal domestic distribution chief Nick Carpou. "Fact is, the strongest category was moviegoers under 15. As you might suspect, the mix of horror and humor played to all audiences and tied into a holiday theme, which resonated with younger moviegoers."

With only one newcomer in the chart, a trio of holdovers rounded out the top five. "Rocky" spin-off "Creed" was in the third position with $15 million in its second weekend. Pixar animated movie "The Good Dinosaur" fell 60 percent with $15.3 million for a global total of $76 million. Meanwhile, "Spectre" added another $5.5 million in its fifth weekend, pushing its global total to $184.5 million.
