"Gotham" is bulking up the new cast, hiring "Being Human" actress Kristen Hager to play Nora Fries. The character is the wife of new Batman villain Mr. Freeze, who is played by "House of Cards" star Nathan Darrow.

In the comic books, Nora was happily married to cryogenics researcher Victor before he turned Mr. Freeze. "Thanks to her smarts, sincerity and a lighthearted sensibility, she's the only person who's managed to connect with the otherwise emotionally cold cryogenicist," FOX told Zap2It.
